I particularly like working with people and businesses with strong ethical principles. My intention is to live responsibly. I believe this is a prerequisite for a great business and a great life.

These people, organisations and projects are an inspiration. They do things differently and they stand up for what they believe in. They successfully navigate the path between commerce and ethics. It isn’t easy – I think they are great and I love their principles. I hope you do to.

The man behind the Special Places guides, Alistair Sawday, has a lifelong passion for travel and the environment. ECOVER are pioneers in developing and marketing ecological washing and cleaning products with a progressive environmental policy which includes the building of the world’s first ecological factory. The clothing business Howies. It hurt when they ‘sold out’ to Timberland – so glad they recently made the brave move to buy their business back.

These artists, designers and thinkers feed my mind and spirit. The photographer Vivian Meir, whose recently discovered work and life story are remarkable. The Buddhist Pema Chodron, whose words and deeds are nourishment for the soul, and A Practice for Everyday Life , who have the skill to turn every day life into beauty. Inspiring.
